The Music of Friendship: For the first time in the history of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a joint concert of the National Presidential Band of Ukraine and the United States Air Force Band was played

This is the quintessence of a new level of long-term partnership between the two military creative bands.

It was a special opportunity to express gratitude to the American people for their partnership and unwavering support of Ukraine in our country’s struggle for the independence and territorial integrity.

Ukraine was represented at the concert by the Director of the National Presidential Band of Ukraine Colonel Maksym Husak and the orchestra singer of the National Presidential Bank Serhii Hurets (tenor).

The special guest of the event was Pavlo Hintov, Ukrainian pianist who has been popularizing Ukrainian music in the United States for many years.

The concert program presented a musical synthesis of two cultures - Ukrainian and American music, from Lysenko to Gershwin.

"It is important for Ukrainians to be aware that thousands miles away, on the other side of the Atlantic, we have friends who lend a helping hand. While russia's actions have led to its isolation from the international community, we must do everything for our victory. We will not allow our history and our art heritage be appropriated, and we will not allow Ukrainian persons of art to be degraded. We will present and popularise Ukrainian culture all over the world. Music unites the continents. It is a special honour for me to represent our country with this important cultural mission," said Maksym Husak.
