The Accelerator of the Ministry of Defence, together with defence industry associations/clusters, will prepare the list of top issues for the leadership of the Ministry and will be developing mutual expert cooperation" - Volodymyr Havrylov

This was emphasized by the Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, the Director of the Accelerator of the Ministry of Defence, Volodymyr Havrylov, during a meeting with the leaders of nine leading associations/clusters of the National Defence Industry.

"Currently, there is a lot of progress in the various areas of the defence industry: in-house solutions, manufacturing improvements, mastering the repair of foreign equipment. Interest from foreign partners is growing. In the same time, there are also many stoppers and challenges, and we need to learn how to solve them promptly. The Ministry's policy is aimed at the development of military-technical policy based on close cooperation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, domestic military defence industry players and international strategic partners. We will try to invest available state funds in the development, as well as in products and services of the domestic manufacturers provided they confirm the quality, competitiveness and demand of their products," said the Deputy Minister of Defence.

During the meeting, the parties discussed key issues of concern the defence industry faces, as well as the mechanism of cooperation institutionalization of defence industry associations/clusters with the Ministry of Defence. The meeting participants agreed on a joint formulation of the solutions list and options for top issues that will be presented to the leadership of the Ministry of Defence.

The participants agreed to promptly create working groups including experts delegated by associations/clusters on all issues that are important for the industry. The defence industry representatives highly appreciated the ‘single window’ initiated by the Accelerator for the defence industry enterprises to solve the issues they face in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence.

The Ministry invites all associations/clusters operating in defence industry and dual-use technologies to join the cooperation.
