Briefing on operative information in the JFO area

We would like to bring to your attention operational information on the current situation in the Joint Forces Operation area.

During the past day, February 21, 84 ceasefire violations have been recorded by the Russian occupation forces, 64 of which involved the use of weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements.

As a result of the shelling, two Ukrainian servicemen received shrapnel wounds incompatible with life. Twelve servicemen received injuries of varying degrees of severity and are now in medical facilities. Six servicemen received combat injuries.

The JFO Command expresses its sincere and deepest condolences to the families and friends of the deceased.

During the day, the Ukrainian Forces recorded 9 ceasefire violations by using weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements.

The enemy used 122mm artillery systems, 120mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems and heavy machine guns.

There were no casualties.

The Joint Forces control the situation and respond adequately to potential threats from the enemy.

On the current humanitarian situation in the JFO area.

The Russian occupation forces continue shelling objects of civil infrastructure violating the Minsk agreements and the norms of International Humanitarian Law.

During the period from February 21 20.00 to February 22 09.00, 2022, the Russian occupation forces conducted three shelling of civilian objects in the settlements of Bohdanivka, Hnutove, Vodiane in the JFO area.

No civil infrastructure was damaged.

No civilians were killed or injured, but the information is continuously updating.

Our servicemen supply the settlements with drinking water, help civilians to remedy the effects of heavy shelling by Russian occupation forces.

The Joint Forces continue providing access to the JFO area to the humanitarian organizations that render material, psychological, legal and patronage assistance to vulnerable segments of the population.

During the past five days, 152 shelling of civilian objects in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions were reported.

48 civilian buildings damaged,

4 educational establishments were destroyed,

2 cars and a garage were damaged,

11 objects of important infrastructure were damaged, 1 religious object and 1 shop,

1 civilian was killed,

2 civilians were wounded and 3 civilians were contused.
