The situation in the Joint Forces Operation area remains under control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Over the course of the last 24 hours, February 17, 60 incidents of ceasefire violation by the Russian occupation forces were observed, including 43 incidents when the Russian occupation forces utilized weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements.

The Joint Forces suffered two casualties as a result of the enemy fire. Two service members were WIA and are currently undergoing treatment in medical facilities. One of the service members is in a stable condition, the other one is in a serious, but stable condition.

Two civilians were injured as a result of the shelling carried out by the Russian occupation forces.

Due to the commitment of the Ukrainian service members, the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces remain unchanged.

As of 11 o’clock this morning, February 18, 33 incidents of ceasefire violation by the Russian occupation forces were observed, including 22 incidents when the Russian occupation forces utilized weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements.

The Russian occupation forces shelled the following settlements:

BOLOTENE, NOVOHNATIVKA, and STARYI AIDAR using 122 mm artillery systems.

STAROHNATIVKA on three separate occasions using 120 mm mortars, heavy machine guns and antitank grenade launchers.

CHERMALYK using automatic grenade launchers.

PISCHANE using 120 mm mortars.

PIVDENNE using 120 mm mortars and antitank grenade launchers.

SHUMY, VODIANE, OPYTNE, HNUTOVE, NEVELSKE using 82 mm mortars.

SVITLODARSK on two separate occasions using 120 mm mortars.

LUHANSKE on ten separate occasions using 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, heavy machine guns, antitank grenade launchers and small arms.

VERKHNIOTORETSKE using 120 mm mortars, BMP-2 armament, antitank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and automatic grenade launchers.

NEW YORK on four separate occasions using 120 mm mortars, heavy machine guns, antitank grenade launchers and automatic grenade launchers.

NYZHNIOTEPLE and MYRONIVSKYI using antitank grenade launchers.

HRANITNE on two separate occasions using 122 mm artillery systems and 82 mm mortars.

The Joint Forces suffered no casualties as a result of the enemy fire.

Ukrainian defenders opened fire in response, while refraining from the use of weapon systems prohibited by the Minsk agreements, and forced the adversary to cease the shelling.

The crime-related situation in the Joint Forces Operation area is considered relatively stable.

Over the course of the last 24 hours the police units, engaged in the Joint Forces Operation, inspected 4097 vehicles and 3985 individuals, including 3 individuals inspected for affiliation with the Russian Federation armed formations. Moreover, the police units were able to identify 32 cases of misdemeanor and investigate 37 offenses.

1070 individuals passed through the entry-exit checkpoints going to the occupied territory and 970 individuals passed to return to the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government.

In order to implement the security measures aimed at protecting the civilian population, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine pyrotechnic units of the Joint Forces demined almost 10 hectares of land and transferred for disposal 114 items of explosive ordnance.

The Joint Forces units continue to carry out assigned missions of defeating and deterring the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.
