Update on the situation in the Joint Forces Operation area as of 07.00 February 17, 2022

Glory to Ukraine!

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to ignore the agreements reached within the frameworks of the Trilateral Contact Group.

During the past day, the Ukrainian Defence Forces recorded 8 ceasefire violations committed by the Russian occupation forces, 2 of which by using weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements.

In the vicinity STANITSA LUHANSKA and NOVOZVANIVKA, the occupants fired 82mm mortars.

Near LOBACHEVE and VODIANE, the occupants used UAVs to drop VOG-17 and VOG-25 grenades.

In the direction of LUHANSKE the enemy fired from tripod-mounted anti-tank guns and small arms. 

Near MARIINKA, the Russian-led forces fired at Ukrainian positions using small arms.

In the direction of SYZE the enemy fired from tripod-mounted grenade launchers and heavy machine guns.

The enemy fired at KATERYNIVKA from tripod-mounted anti-tank grenade launchers and automatic grenade launchers.

There were no casualties.

Positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces remain intact.

During the day, the Ukrainian Defence Forces recorded 2 ceasefire violations committed by the Russian occupation using weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements.

In the vicinity of PRYCHEPYLIVKA the Russian-led forces fired from 122mm artillery.

Near VODIANE, the occupants shelled Ukrainian positions using 120mm mortars.

There were no casualties.

The Joint Forces retain full control over the situation in their operation area and continue accomplishing their combat missions of defeating and deterring the Russian armed aggression.
