Updated situation in the Joint Forces Operation area as of 11.00 February 8, 2022

The situation in the Joint Forces Operation area remains under control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Over the course of the last 24 hours, February 7, 5 incidents of ceasefire violation by the Russian occupation forces were observed.

Russian occupation forces engaged the positions of Ukrainian defenders in PIVDENNE, VODIANE, NEVELSKE and PISKY (on two separate occasions) using small arms.

The Joint Forces suffered 1 casualty, as a result of enemy fire. 1 service member was WIA and is currently undergoing treatment in a medical facility. He is in a stable condition.

Due to the commitment of the Ukrainian service members, the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces remain unchanged.

As of 11 o’clock this morning, February 8, there were no incidents of ceasefire violation by the Russian occupation forces.

The crime-related situation in the Joint Forces Operation area is considered relatively stable.

Over the course of the last 24 hours the police units, engaged in the Joint Forces Operation, inspected 3736 vehicles and 4005 individuals, including 1 individual inspected for affiliation with the Russian Federation armed formations. Moreover, the police units were able to identify 34 cases of misdemeanor and investigate 37 offenses.

747 individuals passed through the entry-exit checkpoints going to the occupied territory and 839 individuals passed to return to the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government.

In order to implement the security measures aimed at protecting the civilian population, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine pyrotechnic units of the Joint Forces demined almost 1,5 hectares of land and transferred for disposal 1 item of explosive ordnance.

The Joint Forces units continue to carry out assigned missions of defeating and deterring the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.
