Update on the situation in the Joint Forces Operation area as of 07.00 January 26, 2022

Glory to Ukraine!

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to ignore the agreements reached within the frameworks of the Trilateral Contact Group.

During the current day, the Ukrainian Defence Forces recorded 5 ceasefire violations committed by the Russian occupation forces.

In the direction of AVDIIVKA the Russia-led forces shelled the positions of the Ukrainian forces using automatic and anti-tank grenade launchers.

Near MARIINKA the enemy troops shelled Ukrainian positions using grenade launchers and small arms.

Near SHYROKYNE the Russian-led forces fired heavy machine guns and small arms.

In the vicinity of PYSHCHEVYK the enemy used UAV to drop VOG-17 grenades.

Two Ukrainian servicemen were injured as a result of the enemy's actions. They are in medical facilities now. One serviceman has satisfactory health condition, while another condition is in moderate condition.

The Ukrainian Forces had to fire in response to suppress enemy’s activity, strictly adhering to the Minsk agreements.

Positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces remain intact.

As of 07.00 there were no ceasefire violations committed by the Russian occupation forces.

The Joint Forces retain full control over the situation in their operation area and continue accomplishing their combat missions of defeating and deterring the Russian armed aggression.
