The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to ignore the agreements reached within the frameworks of the Trilateral Contact Group.
During the current day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces recorded 5 ceasefire violations committed by the Russian occupation forces, 2 of which involved the use of the weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements, as well as the enemy’s UAV crossing the frontline.
In the direction of OPYTNE the Russia-led forces fired 120 mm mortars.
In the vicinity of KATERYNIVKA, the enemy fired anti-tank grenade launchers.
Near the ZOLOTE-4, the enemy troops shelled Ukrainian positions using 82 mm mortars.
In the direction of MARIINKA the enemy opened fire with light and anti-tank grenade launchers.
Furthermore, in LUHANSK region, the enemy UAV “Orlan-10” type was spotted crossing the frontline.
There were no casualties.
The Ukrainian Forces had to fire in response to suppress enemy’s activity, strictly adhering to the Minsk agreements.
Positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces remain intact.
As of 07.00 January 21, 2022, there were no ceasefire violations committed by the Russian occupation forces.
The Joint Forces retain full control over the situation in their operation area and continue accomplishing their combat missions of defeating and deterring the Russian armed aggression.
