Turkey will finance the purchase of goods and services to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for more than 200 million Turkish liras

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the Agreement on Military and Financial Cooperation and the Protocol on the Implementation of Financial Assistance between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Turkey.

These documents were signed on February 3, 2020 in Kyiv during the 8th meeting of the High-Level Strategic Council between Ukraine and the Republic of Turkey with the participation of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and President of the Republic of Turkey Search Results Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The adopted acts create a legal basis for providing Ukraine with a financial resource in the amount of 205 million Turkish liras (equivalent to about $ 35 million) for the purchase of military goods and services to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and pay for training courses for Ukrainian service personnel in training centres of Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkey for the next 5 years.
