On April 7, the Russian occupation troops have violated the ceasefire for 10 times.
The enemy shelled the JFO positions with 120mm and 82mm mortars which are forbidden by the Minsk agreements. The Russian occupation troops also used UAV, different grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. Units deployed to the JFO opened adequate fire in response for the armed provocations of the Russian occupation troops.
6 ceasefire violations were recorded in the area of responsibility of the task force East (Donetsk direction). The Russian occupation troops shelled the positions of Ukrainian forces not far from Kamianka settlement with 82mm mortars (8 mines), as well as antitank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. Our positions near Mariinka, Opytne and Avdiivka settlements were shelled with wide range of infantry armament including grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
Moreover, in a full disregard of the International Humanitarian Law, the Russian occupation troops used UAV to drop VOG-17 (40mm rifle-fired grenade) on a car of a camera crew of one of the TV channel. Neither media representatives, nor a serviceman who were in the car were injured.
4 ceasefire violations were recorded in the area of responsibility of the task force NORTH (Luhansk direction). The Russian occupation troops shelled Ukrainian positions near Novozvanivka and Novotoshkivske settlements with 120mm (9 mines) mortars, as well as 82mm mortars not far from Novooleksandrivka (4 mines) and Popasna ( 5 mines ) settlements.
Joint Forces opened adequate fire in response to the armed provocations of the Russian occupation troops. Any other armed provocations of the enemy will be met with harsh response.
According to the intelligence data, 1 Russian mercenary was WIA. Our brave warriors also damaged antitank missile system of the enemy.
No casualties among personnel of the JFO were recorded.
From the beginning of the day, 2 ceasefire violations were recorded. The enemy fired 20 82mm mines against the JFO positions near Pavlopil settlement and used different grenade launchers and heavy machine guns to shell Ukrainian forces near Mariinka settlement.
No COVID — 19 infection case among personnel of the Joint Forces units was recorded.
Situation in the JFO area is under full control of the Joint Forces.
