On April 6, the Russian occupation troops have violated the ceasefire for 8 times.
The enemy shelled the JFO positions with 120mm and 82mm mortars which are forbidden by the Minsk agreements. The Russian occupation troops also used IFV armament, antitank missile system, different grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. Units deployed to the JFO opened adequate fire in response for the armed provocations of the Russian occupation troops.
6 ceasefire violations were recorded in the area of responsibility of the task force East (Donetsk direction). The Russian occupation troops shelled the positions of Ukrainian forces not far from Pavlopil settlement with 82mm mortars (8 mines), IFV armament and antitank missile system. The enemy also used 120mm mortars (5mines) near Krasnohorivka settlement, as well as 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns not far from Kamianka settlement (2 inmes). Our positions near Starohnativka and Avdiivka settlements were shelled with wide range of infantry armament including grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
2 ceasefire violations were recorded in the area of responsibility of the task force NORTH (Luhansk direction). The Russian occupation troops shelled Ukrainian positions near Novozvanivka and Novooleksandrivka settlements with 120mm (5mines) and 82mm (4 mines) mortars.
Joint Forces opened adequate fire in response to the armed provocations of the Russian occupation troops. Any other armed provocations of the enemy will be met with harsh response.
According to the intelligence data, 1 Russian mercenary was WIA.
No casualties among personnel of the JFO were recorded.
From the beginning of the day, no ceasefire violation was recorded.
No COVID — 19 infection case among personnel of the Joint Forces units was recorded.
Situation on the JFO area is under full control of the Joint Forces.
