On April 4, the Russian occupation troops have violated the ceasefire for 14 times.
The enemy shelled the JFO positions with 120mm and 82mm mortars which are forbidden by the Minsk agreements. The Russian occupation troops also used different grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. Units deployed to the JFO opened adequate fire in response for the provocations of the Russian occupation troops.
7 ceasefire violations were recorded in the area of responsibility of the task force East (Donetsk direction). The enemy fired against the JFO positions near Shyrokyne, Taramchuk, Novomykhailivka, Slavne, Vodiane, Opytne and Pavlopil settlements with wide range of infantry armament including different grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
7 ceasefire violations were recorded in the area of responsibility of the task force NORTH (Luhansk direction). The Russian occupation for two times shelled Ukrainian positions near Orihove settlement with 82mm mortars (9 mines) and antitank grenade launchers, as well as fired 2 82mm mines not far from Novooleksandrivka settlement. The enemy also fired 8 120 and 82 mm mines against the JFO positions near Novotoshkivske settlement. Our positions near Travneve settlement were also shelled with 82mm mortars (8 mines), grenade launchers and small arms. The occupation troops used different infantry armament not far from Pivdenne and Novoluhanske settlements .
In a flagrant violation of the International humanitarian law, the enemy shelled residential area of Verkhniotoretske settlement with antitank grenade launchers. As the result, 1 local woman got shrapnel wound. The woman was transported to the local hospital and provided with necessary assistance.
Joint Forces opened adequate fire in response to the armed provocations of the Russian occupation troops. Any other armed provocations of the enemy will be met with harsh response.
According to the intelligence data, 2 Russian mercenaries were KIA and 1 WIA. Our brave warriors also destroyed UAV and antitank grenade launcher of the occupation troops.
No casualties among personnel of the JFO were recorded.
From the beginning of the day, 3 ceasefire violations were recorded not far from Kamianka settlement (Donetsk direction).
No COVID — 19 infection case among personnel of the Joint Forces units was recorded.
