On April 2, the Russian occupation troops have violated the ceasefire for 11 times.
The enemy shelled the JFO positions with 120mm and 82mm mortars which are forbidden by the Minsk agreements. The Russian occupation troops also used different grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
All ceasefire violations were recorded in the area of responsibility of the task force East (Donetsk direction). The Russian occupation for three times shelled Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka settlement with 120mm and 82mm mortars by firing 24 different calibre mines, as well as grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. The enemy also fired against the JFO positions not far from Pavlopil with 120mm mortars (6 mines) and 82 mm mortars (20 mines) near Shyrokyne settlement. Our positions near Pisky settlement were also shelled for three times with 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. Moreover, the enemy fired against the JFO positions near Bohdanivka and Starohnativka (2 times) with wide range of infantry armament including different grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms
Joint Forces opened adequate fire in response to the armed provocations of the Russian occupation troops. Any other armed provocations of the enemy will be met with harsh response.
No casualties were recorded.
From the beginning of the day, 1 ceasefire violation was recorded. The enemy shelled the JFO positions near Novotoshkivske settlement with 120 mm (26 mines) mortars.
No COVID — 19 infection case among personnel of the Joint Forces units was recorded.
