On April 1, the Russian occupation troops have violated the ceasefire for 15 times.
The enemy shelled the JFO positions with 152mm and 122mm artillery systems, as well as 120mm and 82mm mortars which are forbidden by the Minsk agreements. The Russian occupation troops also used IFV armament, different grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
11 ceasefire violations were recorded in the area of responsibility of the task force East (Donetsk direction). The enemy fired against the JFO positions near Pisky (3 times), Pavlopi, Mariinka (2 times), Krasnohirivka, Novomykhailivka (3 times) and Mykolaivka settlements with wide range of infantry armament including IFV armament, different grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms
4 ceasefire violations were recorded in the area of responsibility of the task force NORTH (Luhansk direction). The Russian occupation for two hours shelled Ukrainian positions near Novotoshkivske settlement with 152mm and 122mm artillery systems, as well as 120mm and 82mm mortars by firing 25 artillery shells and more than 170 different calibre mines. The enemy also fired against the JFO positions not far from Novooleksandrivka and Hutir Vilnyi settlements with 82mm mortars and small arms. Our positions near Orihove settlement were also shelled with different grenade launchers.
Joint Forces opened adequate fire in response to the armed provocations of the Russian occupation troops. Any other armed provocations of the enemy will be met with harsh response.
As the result of the Russian armed aggression, 3 servicemen were WIA.
According to the intelligence data, 1 Russian mercenary was KIA and 3 were WIA.
From the beginning of the day, no ceasefire violation was recorded.
No COVID — 19 infection case among personnel of the Joint Forces units was recorded.
