JFO News. Security situation UPD for 7 AM

On March 31, the Russian occupation troops have violated the ceasefire for 14 times.

The enemy shelled the JFO positions with 120mm and 82mm mortars which are forbidden by the Minsk agreements. The Russian occupation troops also used different grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.

11 ceasefire violations were recorded in the area of responsibility of the task force East (Donetsk direction). The enemy shelled the JFO positions near Krasnohorivka (2 times) and Pisky settlements with 120 mm mortars, as well as 82 mm mortars and different grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms near Avdiivka (3 times) settlement. In general, the enemy fired 30 120mm and 32 82mm mortars against Ukrainian positions on this direction. The Russian occupation troops also used different grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms not far from Shyrokyne, Hnutovo, Kamianka, Opytne and Starohnativka settlements.

3 ceasefire violations were recorded in the area of responsibility of the task force NORTH (Luhansk direction). The Russian occupation shelled Ukrainian positions near Novotoshkivske settlements with 120mm mortars and antitank missile system. The enemy also fired against the JFO positions not far from Luhanske settlement with 82mm mortars. Our positions near Zaitseve settlement were also shelled with different grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.

Joint Forces opened adequate fire in response to the armed provocations of the Russian occupation troops.

As the result of the Russian armed aggression, 1 serviceman was KIA.

Ministry of Defence of Ukraine expresses sincerest condolences to families and loved ones of the deceased defender!

Moreover, over the past day, 3 Ukrainian servicemen were WIA.

According to the intelligence data, 3 Russian mercenaries were KIA and 1 was WIA. Joint Forces has also destroyed Infantry Fighting Vehicle of the Russian occupation troops.

From the beginning of the day, 1 ceasefire violation was recorded near Mariinka settlement.

No COVID — 19 infection case among personnel of the Joint Forces units was recorded.
