JFO News. Security situation UPD for 7 AM

On March 10, the Russian occupation troops have violated the ceasefire for 17 times.

The enemy shelled the JFO positions with 120mm and 82mm mortars which are forbidden by the Minsk agreements. The Russian occupation troops also used antitank missile systems, different grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and other small arms, including sniper rifles.

8 ceasefire violations were recorded in the area of responsibility of the task force East (Donetsk direction). The enemy fired against our positions:

for three times near Pisky (antitank missile systems, different grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and other small arms); near Novoselivka Druga and Avdiivka (82 mm mortars, as well as other infantry armament); near Shyrokyne (82 mm mortars); not far from Vasylivka and Pavlopil ( small arms, including sniper rifles and heavy machine guns).

9 ceasefire violations were recorded in the area of responsibility of the task force NORTH (Luhansk direction). The Russian occupation troops shelled the JFO positions near Orihove (120mm and 82mm mortars, antitank missile systems);     Hutir Vilnyi (82 mm mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns); Novhorodske and Luhanske (82mm mortars, other infantry armament); Myronivske (120mm mortars); Novooleksandrivka (120mm mortars, antitank grenade launcher); as well as Novoluhanske and Zalizne (grenade launchers, small arms) settlements.

The Joint Forces opened adequate fire in response.

Moreover, the Russian occupation troops have violated the ceasefire using grenade launchers and small arms near disengagement area №3 Bohdanivka – Petrivske settlements. There was no fire in response from the JFO side.

The enemy also fired antitank missile against the truck of one of the JFO units near Pisky settlement. As the result, 2 servicemen were KIA and 8 were WIA.

Apart of that, as the result of the enemy’s shelling, 1 serviceman was KIA and 1 was WIA.

From the beginning of the day, no ceasefire violation was recorded.
