On March 2, the Russian occupation troops have once again escalated the situation on the frontline by deliberately violating all ceasefire arrangements.

According to the JFO press-centre, occupation troops targeted Krasnohorivka settlement in Donetsk region.

The enemy shelled civilian areas with 120mm mortars, understanding that the shelling would threaten the lives and health of civilians. As a result of a mine explosion near the house, an explosive wave knocked out window glass. One civilian resident was injured by the fragments of the mine. The resident was promptly provided with a medical support.

Such brazen actions of the Russian occupants once again testify their interest in further escalation of the conflict in the East of Ukraine.

- For the suppression of enemy fire and cessation of armed provocations, the JFO units opened adequate fire in response, inflicting effective fire damage. The losses of the enemy are being clarified, - noted the JFO press-centre.

The Joint Forces Command emphasizes that no act of aggression will continue to be left unanswered.
