On the evening of January 26, the Ukrainian side of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire and Stabilization of the Demarcation Line recorded the actions of the occupation troops regarding imitation of violation of the disengagement process on the disengagement area № 3 near Petrivske settlement.

Armed members of the Russian occupation troops, using terrain and high vegetation, entered the disengagement area at the positions of the units of the Joint Forces, which were abandoned during the disengagement and opened fire with tracer ammunition toward positions of the Russian troops.

It all happened at a distance of 250 meters from the OSCE video surveillance camera, which, according to representatives of the Russian occupation troops, should provide unprecedented evidence of violations of a disengagement process by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The purpose of such actions may be to exacerbate the situation at the disengagement area, which in the future may lead to the return of the occupation troops to their original positions in order to take more advantageous positions by the armed formations of the Russian Federation in the area.

The Ukrainian side of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire and Stabilization of the Demarcation Line draws attention of the Russian occupation administration to the need to comply with existing agreements and the inadmissibility of such actions.
