Lieutenant-General Wayne Eyre, Commander of the Canadian Army has arrived to Lviv. The foreign delegation was met by the Commander of the Lviv garrison and the Chief of the National Land Forces Academy Lieutenant General Pavlo Tkachuk.
The purpose of the visit is to meet with the leadership of the National Land Forces Academy, to get acquainted with the structure, tasks and activities of a educational institution, as well as the capabilities and infrastructure of the International Peacekeeping and Security Center, etc.
On the first day of their stay on Ukrainian soil, the Canadian delegation will get acquainted with the peculiarities of future officers training at the National Land Forces Academy and will visit the museum of the Academy.
Tomorrow, Canadian delegation will visit the International Peacekeeping and Security Center. The briefing by UNIFIER Operation Commander Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Toop on the activities and further tasks of the Canadian Armed Forces personnel who are involved in the training Ukrainian troops, as well as a direct meeting with the officers and sergeants of the Canadian Air Force are also scheduled.
