OSCE SMM verified completion of the disengagement of forces and assets in Zolote settlement

On November 26, according to the implementation of the framework decision of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG), following the schedule adopted at the meeting of the working group on security on October 1, 2019 in Minsk, representatives of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission verified the completion of the disengagement of forces and assets in the area No. 2 in Zolote settlement.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine carried out demining of certain areas from explosive objects, dismantlement of fortifications and military objects was held as well.

According to OSCE SMM Deputy Chief Monitor Mark Etherington, the Ukrainian side has fulfilled all obligations of the Minsk Agreement in terms of the process of disengagement of forces and assets. Disengagement was conducted by both sides. All the following issues will be resolved in a working order on December 9 at the next meeting of the leaders of the “Normandy Four” countries.
