Service personnel of the Estonian Defense Forces and the Armed Forces of Finland underwent a course on explosive ordinance disposal (EOD) at the Mine Action Center of the Main Directorate for Combat Service Support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kamianets- Podilskyi.
For five days, under the guidance of Ukrainian sappers, Estonian and Finnish military personnel had improved their knowledge and skills of mining, got acquainted with the peculiarities of the procedures of disposal of improvised explosive devices, overcoming mine-explosive barriers, use of demining dogs for disposal of IEDs.
Special attention was paid to the use of regular engineering ammunition of the Russian Armed Forces during the Anti-Terrorist operation and in the Joint Forces Operation in the East of Ukraine.
At the end of the event, representatives of the Defense Forces of the Republic of Estonia and the Armed Forces of Finland thanked the personnel of the Mine Action Center for the hospitable reception as well as the opportunity to improve their professional knowledge and to learn the combat experience of Ukrainian military sappers.
