The number of ceasefire violations were higher in the area of responsibility of the Task Force “North” (Luhansk direction). The Russian Occupation troops continued to use 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, which are forbidden by the Minsk agreements. The situation in the operation area is under full control of the Joint Forces.
Our servicemen opened fire in response to suppress enemy activity using infantry weapons and by strictly adhering to the Minsk agreements.
2. As the result of the Russian armed aggression, 4 servicemen from the JFO were WIA and 1 got combat trauma. They were all transferred to the military medical facilities.
3. And now to the information from the Defense Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
According to the information from the Defense Intelligence Directorate, Command of the Russian Occupation troops are going to intensify activity of snipers along the front line to provoke the JFO forces to open fire in response and decrease morale of the JFO personnel. Thus, the enemy’s snipers will be allowed to open fire without previous commands including in the grey zone area.
During the withdrawal of forces process, the Russian Occupation authorities have announced the conduct of the joint exercises involving both occupation administrations and units of the Russian Occupation troops and other illegal armed formations. Control over the exercise is conducted by the representatives of the Southern Military district of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
What is more, the Command of the Russian Occupation troops is continuing to enhance occupation forces on the frontline with tanks and 122 mm artillery systems under the cover of the conduct of the joint exercise.
