ATO News: Situation Update, east of Ukraine as of morning, July 21, 2017

Friday, July 21. DONBAS — According to the press centre of the ‘anti-terror’ operation (ATO) HQ, the enemy has violated the ceasefire for 29 times over the past 24 hours. The Ukrainian units have opened return fire for 16 times.

The enemy used 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers, and small arms near Avdiivka. The Ukrainian soldiers opened return fire.

Moreover, pro-Russian rebels shelled the ATO positions near Butivka mine with mortars and grenade launchers. The ATO forces used grenade launchers and heavy machineguns.

Militants fired on positions near Stanytsia Luhanska and Vodyane.

Unfortunately, five Ukrainian soldiers were killed, eight were wounded.

Due to proficient and prompt actions of the Ukrainian military, the enemy stopped provocations and incurred heavy losses.
