“For military service to Ukraine” medal
It was established by the Decree of the President of Ukraine
¹ 931/96 dated October 5, 1996 to award servicemen of the Armed Forces of
Ukraine and other military formations created in accordance with the Ukrainian
legislature and other individuals for courage and valor displayed at protection
of state interests and for excellent execution of service duty.
The medal is made of silver. The reverse side of the wreath is shallow with
bold-type inscription “For military service to Ukraine” in a circular shape.
REGULATIONS
On the “For military service to Ukraine” medal
1. The “For military service to Ukraine” medal is awarded:
-
for personal Courage and valor, devoted actions displayed
at protection of state Interests for reaching a high level of troops’
combat readiness and ;

assuring the Ukraine’s defense capability;

for excellent execution of military duty;
-
for execution of special tasks to assure the state
security of Ukraine;

for 25 years of perfect military service.
2. The “For military service to Ukraine” medal can be
awarded to foreign citizens or individuals without citizenship.
3. The “For military service to Ukraine” medal can be
awarded posthumously.
4. The “For military service to Ukraine” medal is
presented by the President Of Ukraine or the head of the respective ministry on
behalf of him.
5. It is “For military service to Ukraine” medal
duplicates and certificates are issued according the President State heraldic
and awards commission decisions for the costs of the awarded or free of charge.
6. The deprivation of the “For military service to Ukraine”
medal can be done by the President of Ukraine.
