List of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine assigned for the participation in the third stage of PARP

1. Separate special battalion, Western Operational Command;

2. Separate airborne battalion, 95th separate airborne brigade, 8th AC of Northern Operational Command;

3. Combined air squadron of army aviation regiment, Western Operational Command;

4. Engineer company, Western Operational Command (Ukrainian part of Combined Ukrainian-Hungarian-Romanian-Slovak battalion “Tysa”);

5. Pontoon bridge launching battalion, Pontoon bridge launching brigade;

6. Air squadron of military-transport air division;

7. Frigate “Hetman Sahaydachny”;

8. Big amphibious vessel “Kostiantyn Olshansky”;

9. Group of Ukrainian officers appointed for service in multinational HQs.

²²² stage, named deepened and adopted PARP, will continue till 2006 and will be quite different from previous. The main feature of the stage is that it creates mechanism for complete involvement of the partners’ means and powers to NATO-led peacekeeping operations, and it also creates frameworks for the development of partners’ forces interoperability.

For this reason instead of Interoperability goals were suggested Partnership goals (PG), similar to Forces goals, used for Forces planning in Allied forces.

So, it may be suggested that the main effort in the third stage will be concentrated on issues of defense planning and directed at tactical and operational-tactical levels.

In the third stage of PARP Ukraine was suggested 58 PGs, 34 of which were adopted for implementation and 17 PGs adopted for study of possibilities for their implementation.
