On September 10, the Chief of the General Staff - Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Lieutenant General Ruslan Khomchak held a meeting with High Level Strategic Advisers of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine Reforms Committee.
Lieutenant General Ruslan Khomchak stressed on the immutability for the achievement of the strategic goal enshrined in the Constitution - the acquisition of full NATO membership.
During the meeting, the current stage of reforming of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, transformation of the joint leadership system of the defense forces and command and control system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and further advisory assistance to the Ukrainian troops by the partner states were discussed.
– We highly value the experience of the Armed Forces of US, Canada, Poland, Latvia and Germany on the reform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and use the potential of international advisory assistance to enhance the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in accordance with NATO standards, - noted Lieutenant General Ruslan Khomchak.
Ruslan Khomchak also expressed his gratitude to high-level strategic advisers and the specialists of the Armed Forces of Lithuania, Canada, Germany, Poland and the US for the consistent support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in countering armed and hybrid aggression by the Russian Federation.
High-level strategic advisers have noted significant progress in reforming the Armed Forces of Ukraine since 2014, and reaffirmed their willingness to cooperate further to enhance Ukraine's defense capabilities, taking into account current.
