A cadet of the National Land Forces Academy Artem Baranenko has received a special distinction — the Saber of the Best Foreign Graduate of the UK Royal Land Forces Academy in Sangerst (Royal Academy has been receiving cadets from Ukraine since 1997). He became the first Ukrainian to receive such a high distinction in this institution.

Every year, the honor is awarded to a cadet who has shown the best results during training and exams. This year, the Academy trained 33 officers, representing the armed forces of 22 different countries — from Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan to Ukraine and the United States.

This year’s graduation ceremony was also attended by Artem’s parents, who shared this touching moment with him and did not hide the joy and pride for their son.
The award was presented to Major General Paul Nenson, Commander of the Royal
Land Forces Academy and Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
